FAQ

Nexalarm frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Nexalarm.

What is Nexalarm

What is Nexalarm?

Nexalarm is a SaaS platform for security system integrators that aggregates alarm email notifications from different manufacturers (Inim, Bentel, Tecnoalarm and others) into a single dashboard. It lets you monitor all your customers' installations from one place, without depending on each brand's proprietary app.

Who is Nexalarm for?

Nexalarm is designed for system integrators and security installers who manage multiple clients with alarm panels from different brands. If you have 10, 50 or 200 installations to monitor and currently do it by checking dozens of email inboxes, Nexalarm is the solution for you.

Does Nexalarm only work with email?

Currently yes: Nexalarm connects to your dedicated alarm notification email inbox via IMAP and processes messages in real time. Support for additional ingestion channels (HTTP webhook, Contact ID, SIA-IP) is planned for future development phases.

Compatibility and setup

Which alarm panels does Nexalarm support?

Nexalarm is vendor-agnostic: it works with any alarm panel that sends email notifications. Pre-configured filters are already available for Inim, Bentel and Tecnoalarm. For other brands you can configure custom filters based on sender, subject and email body.

Do I need to install software on a server or PC?

No. Nexalarm is a fully managed cloud service. All you need to do is configure a dedicated IMAP email account for alarm notifications and enter the credentials in the dashboard. No local installation required.

What type of email account can I use?

Nexalarm supports any email provider with IMAP access enabled: Gmail, Outlook, Aruba, OVH, corporate servers and any provider with standard IMAP support. We recommend creating a dedicated mailbox exclusively for alarm notifications.

Are my email credentials secure?

Yes. IMAP credentials are encrypted with hybrid RSA-4096 + AES-256-GCM encryption before being stored in the database. The decryption private key is stored only on the dedicated worker server and is never exposed to the web application. All communications use HTTPS/TLS.

Pricing and subscription

Is Nexalarm free?

Yes, with the Free plan: 1 user, up to 10 clients and 7 days of history. You can also try the Starter plan (up to 2 users and 30 clients) free for 15 days, no credit card required.

How much does Nexalarm cost?

Monthly prices: Free €0, Starter €16, Professional €45, Business €75. Enterprise is priced on request. With yearly billing you pay ten months instead of twelve.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. There are no minimum contract commitments. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard. Your data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation and then permanently deleted.

Privacy and GDPR

Is Nexalarm GDPR compliant?

Yes. Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with European datacenters. Access is protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) ensuring complete data isolation between different tenants. The audit log tracks all sensitive operations. For more details see our Privacy Policy.

Who is the data controller?

The data controller is Matteo Sacco, based in Bologna, Italy. To exercise your GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure) you can write to mailalertsaas+privacy@gmail.com.

Can other users see my clients' data?

No. Every organization on Nexalarm is completely isolated from others via Row-Level Security at the database level. Your clients' data is accessible only to users within your account.
